Gouache on illustration board ( 18×14 cm)
A fun little painting of a bee collecting nectar on a rainy day!
This little bee will hopefully not end up in the water!
My thanks to Andres Ojeda for permission to use his photograph as a reference for this painting.

It looks like Avril has been the busy bee lately. Good job.
It does look like that bee may be in danger of taking an unexpected dip in the water if it is not careful.

Hi Baker
LOL... yes. Being busy keeps me sane! Painting is the best way to escape from a mad world. Or sitting by a pond watching a far more pleasant scene that does not involve humans, politics, money, greed, etc.
I hope my little bee survives the rough weather :-)
Hey Avril,
Haven't seen you around for a while and I have of couple of posts I want you to check out. I finally got GG to make another post and it happens to include a couple of small images taken from some of her work that I thought you might be interested in. If you drop by note the 'canvas'. She often does her bird and animal paintings on paper she made using various plant material she collected.
The other post is from a new blog I started. The blog is intended to be just a small collection of some odds and ends that don't pertain to the subject matter of Fish and Frog. Anyway, I thought about you when making the last post which is a short YouTube Video of dolphins. If you haven't seen the video I think you will want to check it out. You can find that blog on my profile or here:

Hi Baker
I am so busy with art courses - that is why I am such a bad blogger!!!
So, I am on my way now to take a look at all your suggestions!
Hey Avril,
Thanks for stopping by. I figured you would really like that dolphin video if you had not seen it before. And thanks for all the comments. I'm glad you got to finally see a small sample of GG's work.
