Portrait commissioned by Maura as a surprise Christmas gift for her son and daughter-in-law. And, Maura says, they were indeed very pleasantly surprised as a portrait of their wedding of years ago was the last thing they would have thought of.
I am very pleased and honoured that Maura chose me to paint this portrait!!

A portrait commission is always a great honour for an artist. I really enjoy doing portraits and like to know as much as possible about the people I paint - it helps to portray their character and personality. The photograph I used as reference for this painting was rather blurry but what a gorgeous couple they make!!!
